At 225 feet, The Metropolitan is currently the tallest building in the Pearl District. The building is comprised of a 19-story tower and a 4-story live/work building. The tower is home to 121 large and luxurious residential units and the live/work building is home to 12 loft-style homes. The tower and live/work building sit over 20,000 feet in ground level retail space and two floors of underground parking.
The Metropolitan includes extensive amenities: a two-story travertine and wood clad Lobby with concierge service; a library; fitness room; conference facilities; and guest suites. There are also club facilities including a lounge with individual wine storage and a wine bar and a second floor roof garden. The roof garden is an extensively landscaped area for relaxing and for parties. The Metropolitan is a “green building” -- meeting Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) requirements -- The LEED Silver certified building has high performance energy efficient mechanical systems and glazing systems; storm water retention for landscape irrigation; the incorporation of durable, low-maintenance materials; and the use of healthy materials and abundant natural ventilation for improved air quality.
